Mornin Coffee: Lipton Spits Venom!

March 17, 2009

-Recently Up’North’s good friend the RoughFisher has spoken out against all those Brownliner haters who trash on Carp fishing. The finished product is a great read, and really puts into perspective the general attitude of an Industry that caters largely to a small group of elitist fishermen.

Couldn’t have said it better myself J.P.L.-While I’ve only been in the game for a short time, it is easy to notice the “Brainwashing” you speak of. Personally, I’ve always had a gripe with the magazines that profile only exotic places (for more on this click HERE). I have NEVER seen a single article on fly fishing for carp, which as shown through the Roughfisher’s pictures can be extremely exciting and rewarding.

Read this great article HERE and join the growing conversation below it by adding your thoughts.

Happy Castings-Regardless of what your casting to!

Wow, no kidding. Thats pretty sweet then. But your right, doesn’t make it better. Just further goes to show us all that Dave is a good guy.
I’d love to see an article about bass fishing with pictures of a guy not wearing a full Yamaha get-up.

I meant to put this on JPL’s site too, but I actually saw ONE article on Carp fishing, written by Dave Whitlock, in… gasp… Fly Fisherman. On top of it all, the article I saw was the 2nd instalment.

Does it make it better? No. Just wanted to point that out is all. I’d be happy with a bass fishing article that wasn’t about some lake in Mexico.
